Chips and Peas - Representing Multiplication in Year 3 and 4

Today we have been working with our chips (tens) and peas (ones) to multiply one-digit by two-digit calculations.

We rolled our place value dice to create a 2-digit number and then spun to find the number we would multiply this by.

Can you work out how we have used our chips and peas to multiply 3 x 16?

Why not have a go at your own chips and peas calculations?
