Year 4 Geometry

In this lesson we constructed a range of prisms

Using a table, we recorded the name of each prism along with its associated properties (number of faces, edges and vertices) 

We identified patterns within our tabulated results and used these to predict the properties of the next two prisms that we would construct

Once convinced, we represented these rules algebraically and applied these to calculate the properties of 'mystery' prisms

For example, my prism has 200 edges, calculate the number of vertices and faces
