A-Level Maths Tuition

All of our A-Level tutors are extremely experienced teachers and maths specialists. Our online Zoom sessions offer each student a weekly one-to-one lesson with a maths teacher.

One to one tuition sessions are conducted on Zoom and cost:

  • £45.00 for one hour (A-Level)

At Tutors that Count, our experienced teachers have a full understanding of the requirements of A-Level Maths and Further Maths, and how to up-level to get those all important grades. Many of our teachers are current A-Level Examiners so you can rely on the fact that your child is working with a tutor who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced.

Meet Andy

Teaching Experience

I have been involved with Mathematics Education for 35 years, my roles have included Head of Mathematics, Director of Specialism (Maths and Computing) and National Network Co-ordinator for the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust. Now in semi-retirement I teach A Level Maths and Further Maths part-time. I have also worked for examination boards as an A Level marker and moderator. Consequently, I have not only the experience, but the time to support students on-line as a specialist A level teacher.

What Makes You A Maths Specialist Teacher?

I am a time served Welder and Fabricator, Mechanical Engineering graduate and an experienced teacher. I believe that mathematics is not only a science but a practical subject and am able to communicate an interest in the subject to all ages and abilities.

Other Interests

Cycling, dog walking and playing the guitar (but not at the same time!)

Recent Reviews from our Parents

A huge thank you to Andy for working with my son on A level maths. Andy had excellent knowledge of different examination board requirements and was able to quickly assess my sons gaps and work on those areas.

Meet Chris

Teaching Experience

I have taught maths for 21 years to pupils from Year 3 to Year 12. In the past, I have worked in the prep school system, teaching maths to 11+ and 13+ Common Entrance and Scholarship candidates. I currently work part-time at an independent secondary school, teaching maths from Year 7 to Year 12.

Why do you tutor maths?

Quite simply, because I love it!  Whether your child is a potential top-grade student looking for that extra edge, or someone who needs some extra support or a different take to win through, or somewhere in between, I would love to help.

Other Interests

Family, Nala the Cockapoo, cooking, gardening and pole vaulting!

Recent Reviews from Parents

'In the most simple terms, Chris has given our son his confidence back and the subsequent impact has been tremendous.  This improved confidence has brought about greater commitment, perseverance and resilience. He has gone from a C/D student to A grade in the space of 3 months.'
