Our tutor team consists of highly professional, qualified and enthusiastic Maths and English teachers. Each tutor brings a wealth of classroom experience and curriculum knowledge to the students they tutor. Our team includes GCSE examiners, Heads of Department and Advanced Skills teachers who fully understand how to both support and inspire their students to achieve their potential.
Our tuition is planned around the needs of each individual student. We do not fit you into a narrow program of learning, rather, we develop every session around the unique needs of each student so that challenges are overcome, and success is celebrated. This personalised approach means that every pupil feels supported, valued and they build a secure knowledge that will be beneficial beyond the classroom. Hello, I’m Polly and I am the creator of Tutors That Count. I have been a teacher for many years and still teach part-time in a wonderful federation of local small schools. Our company began almost by accident – a product of the COVID lockdown when many friends asked if I could help with home schooling… Working individually with these children for 45-60 minutes per week, I could not believe the progress that they made both within and between each session; their confidence and ability blossomed! As I began to tutor, my son, who had the joy of completing his GCSE’s during COVID, also required some help with his A-levels. I cannot express how grateful I was to the tutor that supported him – not only did my son’s confidence grow in his tuition subject, so too did his confidence to speak with adults in general and I sincerely believe this helped him to secure his dream apprenticeship on leaving college.
From these small beginnings, I am delighted to have been joined by the most wonderful, experienced teachers who really do care about the students they tutor. Many of our teachers live locally around Beccles, Halesworth, Lowestoft and Norwich but luckily, with the wonderful opportunities now available in online tutoring we are also joined by a few teachers from further afield – all carefully chosen to ensure they reflect the ethos of Tutors That Count.
We do not tie you into a contract, we simply ask that you continue tuition for as long as you find it useful. All that we ask is, if you do decide to leave, you give us one week’s notice. So, if you are unsure, why not book a session and see if we can help you?
